Baby teeth are just as important as permanent teeth.

There is a false notion that “baby teeth are not important since they will eventually be replaced with permanent teeth”. Baby teeth will be replaced by permanent ones starting age 6 to 12 years old. Having a healthy set of baby teeth will help your child chew and speak properly and will hold space in the jaw for the growing permanent teeth while waiting for the adult teeth to be complete.

Consequences of neglect such as toothache, infection, and abcess may be detrimental not only to your child’s oral health but to his/her general well being as well.
